What services do you offer?

All of these services are typically encompassed in completing an demo, EP or full length album. If you prefer that I only take part in one aspect of your next project, please contact me and we can work it out.
What do you charge?
I offer hourly and block rates to fit your project timeline and budget. Contact me (rorywillis@gmail.com) for a quote. Please include (Number of songs, a link to any demo recordings, ideal project start date).
What is your availability?
I am typically available on weekends and select week days. I currently have about a half month wait for new projects, but it’s always changing and is sometimes less.
What is the recording process like?
My recording sessions can be described as efficient, detailed, honest, and casual. A combination of full band performance and overdubbing is often used depending on the material. I typically edit and mix on the fly, with some exceptions such as any vocal tuning and detailed drum editing requested. For a typical band, tracks are layered from the foundation up usually, but not always, in the order of drums, bass, guitar, additional instruments, vocals, percussion and any remaining overdubs. Once everything is tracked and we are happy with the performance, it takes about 1 to 2 weeks to complete the mixing and mastering process. I never mix and master after recording, because I like to approach the process with fresh ears. From this point I will send the you, the artist, a first mix of each song. We will swap ideas and make changes until everyone is satisfied with the final master typically via email.
What equipment do you have available for use?
I have various pieces of equipment for use at any given time. I will always have a drumset for use and several guitar amps/cabs. For a full list of what is available for your session feel free to contact me. If there is something you will need, I can make arrangements to get it.
